Midland PSD Customers, Vendors, Associates and friends,

We, at Midland PSD, also feel the anxiety and sometimes frustration associated with the

COVID-19 virus. As tensions mount, we want to assure all those who have contact with

Midland PSD that we will make every effort to continue to provide the vital services to our

community that we have worked so hard to establish and maintain. In our business, as a water and sewer utility, we have always prioritized good hygiene and safe contact practices. During this time, we remind ourselves, and those around us, to re-commit ourselves to this practice.

Midland PSD has plans in place to continue to provide water and sewer services to our

customers in the event of illness among the Midland PSD staff. Plans include provisions for continued service allowing for “social distancing”, as advised by the CDC.

Midland PSD has received directions, from the WV PSC, to relax the WV PSC rules

regarding termination of services, to allow those that have been affected by the COVID-19 virus to have one less thing to worry about. Midland PSD has always adhered to the WV PSC rules and directions and agrees that one less thing to worry about is a good idea.

We ask that those who truly need help to take advantage of this temporary procedure. To

those who are able and continue to remit their payments on time, we sincerely thank you.

Midland PSD, like many other utilities in WV, is a non-profit company. This means that

Midland PSD does not have a large surplus of funds available to continue to pay it’s monthly bills. Midland PSD must rely on the individual customers payments each month to continue to meet its obligations that allow the water and sewer service that we all depend on.

The Midland PSD office remains open with normal business hours. We encourage all of

our friends and customers to take advantage of our online options at our website,

MIDLANDPSD.COM, our drive-thru window, our payment drop slots, and phones.

As the virus may progress and eventually effect our area, please know that our thoughts

and prayers are with all those who may be affected, and we desire yours as well. As we come together as a community, a family, we may someday look back on this time and know how truly blessed we are.
